Summer is style’s vacation: especially for men, the options are limited. 9 out of 10 times it comes down to wearing a pair of sneakers, a pair of jeans or a short, and a t-shirt. That’s pretty much it. Very little room for putting on many dope items, unless you wanna sweat your butt off. Doesn’t sound very positive, does it? Don’t worry, you can survive the summer in style if you focus on the classic summer essentials.
We are the new generation. Stylewise, we have the opportunity to open doors like doors have been opened for us. Thanks to the people who made sneakers accepted as an every item instead of only for sports purposes. We have to do the same with sweatpants. Well, sort of. I still like me a nice pair of jeans, but it’s time kill the image of sweatpants being for sports or Lazy Sundays only. In fact, sweatpants are the future.
Streetwear rises rapidly to becoming the language of style. The most creative stuff comes from what we like to call streetwear – I think there should be a better term for this btw, I’d rather call it creative clothing – and that’s been proven here once more with Oliver New York’s Spring/Summer 2014 lookbook.
